Role Title: Associate Director, Middle Office Desk Support Manager
Location: London (remote, with some travel into the office required)
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: GBP467.50 PAYE – GBP559.26 Umbrella
Role Purpose
To provide management oversight of the Cash Equity Desk Support team ensuring a high level of service provision to Trading & Sales Desks, Client service teams, operations and external clients. This will be across both HBEU and HBCE. The role will also help drive and provide support for ongoing change / OPEX programs.
Oversee daily activities for the Cash Equity Desk Support Team including High touch, Program Trading, Low Touch (algorithm) and ETF desks (trading and sales)
Providing oversight of key operational risk indicators and ensuring appropriate escalation to both trading and operations management when required. Driving root cause analysis and proposing solutions.
Driving a change culture within the Desk Support function and feeding items into the relevant product owner/change forums for prioritisation
Working closely with senior representatives of the Front Office to provide booking solutions and service for high priority clients. Working directly with clients on STP solutions to improve experience and HSBC performance metrics.
Woking with trading desks across HBEU & HBCE on new products and ensuing that booking models are both suitable for trading and operations
Compiling MSII, manage Audit and report progress/resolution to senior management.
Liaison with Global Operations teams to ensure timely response to client queries and swift resolution of Failing trades, reconciliation issues and regulatory/tax obligations.
Work closely with extended teams based in Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangalore, Paris, New York, London and Hong Kong
Ensure timely booking of Complex Trades, Allocations (matching on electronic platform), Data Enrichment & Repair, Corporate Action Management, Query Resolution and Static & Market Data Management.
