Founded in 1960 and with nearly 3000 members worldwide, we are the largest UK haematology organisation and the only society to cover all aspects of the speciality. As an employer, we offer a supportive and friendly environment for our people to develop their skills and make a unique contribution to our mission.The roleThis is a new role at BSH, reporting to the Chief Executive and which you will be able to shape; you will have the opportunity to recruit a more junior role to support you and the operations function. Working closely with the Chief Executive and other Senior Leadership Team members, you will take overall strategic responsibility for our operations, compliance and governance functions, ensuring that processes, policies and infrastructure are in place to deliver the Society’s strategic goals.By helping us to scale up our back–office function, the Head of Operations will enable us to serve our community of haematology professionals better and to make further progress with our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and sustainability agenda.In return, we offer 25 days’ holiday per year, generous pension arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package.
