Head of Projects (HoP)

Head of Projects OR Senior Contracts Manager.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and knowledgeable Head of Projects, based inside or near to London. Working on the National Projects Portfolio (Although predominantly London, travel will be required at times in this role)

Our client is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate estate management.

General Duties and Activities and Responsibilities:

Lead teams in the safe delivery of projects.
Have overall responsibility for generating a sales pipeline to deliver revenue.
Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements.
Ensure that all projects adhere to, and are managed to commercial agreements / contracts, complying with statutory regulations and QHSE compliant.
Recruit and retain talent for the delivery of current, and future growth of projects.
Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects, ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts.
Develop effective relationships with current and potential customers, supply partners and colleagues.
Identify, reduce, and manage all risks.
Develop and manage all bids, tenders, and proposals.
Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.
Development of project financial plans & financial responsibility for the delivery of the annual projects plan.
Manage the monthly P&L and ensure all costs (PMs/HoP) are fully accountable and recoverable.
Conduct performance reviews and create individual PDPs for all direct reports.
Responsible for recruitment and selection of all project staff.General Requirements and Qualifications:

Commercial awareness & strong financial acumen.
Strong influencing, selling and negotiation skills.
Internal and external customer management / Networking skills.
Proven project management experience in an M&E, FM or Construction environment.
Experience of developing new project opportunities.
P&L responsibility experience.
Recognised technical qualification in either a Construction, Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
Recognised qualification in project management – (PMQ / PRINCE2 or equivalent)This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global leading business and would be an ideal suit to an experienced Head of Projects looking for their next permanent position.
