Head of Sales Europe - Retail/Ecommerce
Location: UK, remote with travel to Slough offices

As Head of Sales for Walker Edison Furniture's expanding European market, you will play an integral part in our leadership team, managing, mentoring, and developing a team of five. The key purpose of the job will entail full sales cycles management from prospecting to partner development, closing new business deals, and opening new channels in existing and new European regions. You will bring a deep understanding of e–commerce channels to build upon successful partnerships in Germany and UK Germany, driving rapid growth and partner acquisition in marketplaces across new regions in Europe.
This is how you can contribute to our success:
- Lead all aspects of the partner growth cycle from start to finish both internally and externally including prospecting, discovery, proof of concepts, value proposition positioning and pricing, contract closing, partner onboarding, account management and partner growth.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, training, and support to a current team of five. Develop and grow team to meet with expansion goals.
- Build strong and sustainable relationships with our partners. Find creative solutions in negotiations and facilitate discussions in order to drive profitable growth.
- Create, execute and deliver against regional and partner growth plans that meets or exceeds goals.
- Develop and drive campaigns, strategies and promotions to deliver rapid sales growth, profitably.
- Work closely with stakeholder teams (e.g. supply chain, product, marketing) to align all efforts and deliver results.
- Establish and meet realistic but demanding current and new business sales objectives including increasing total revenue, margin, revenue profitability, and market share.
- Identify partner opportunities, emerging markets, and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Develop monthly and seasonal sales targets for the department, examining growth opportunities to enable sales improvements.
- Prepare sales forecasts and KPI reporting.
Key candidate skills:
- 5 + years pan European experience in similar Head of sales role within retail or e–commerce
- Previous experience of working in retail and cross 3rd party online shopping platforms (Amazon,Wayfair etc) in multiple regions in Europe
- Proven capability to lead and deliver fast and significant multi–million Euro growth
- Must be a resourceful, hands on self starter with ability to work in an agile environment by being proactive, flexible, efficient and task focused in a fast paced, results –oriented business.
- Proven ability to inspire, lead, coach and develop teams.
- Be a master of sales strategy, able to identify opportunities, guide teams and lead regional success
- Expert in contract negotiations with extensive experience in new partner launches
- Must be well organised, data driven and results focused to maximise overall efficiency
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven success working in a fast–paced, high growth environment
- Fluency in a secondary European language is not essential but would be an advantage
