NP Executive Search is delighted to have been retained by the board of our iconic engineering–tech client, to identify their next Group People Director. Boasting an extensive international footprint, and a global headcount of over 2,000 staff, the broad and all–encompassing remit spans all facets of HR leadership including employee relations, engagement, learning and development, talent attraction, retention and succession planning.

Currently, in the midst of an exciting transformation and growth journey, the group have cultivated a market–leading reputation within their domain, and are famed for their people first approach to business. In executing their 5 year–strategic plans, it is anticipated that international headcount will grow 25% during this period, as they expand their manufacturing and customer footprint. With significant resources being continually invested into IT systems and group infrastructure, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Day to day delivery of a world–class HR Service to the business through a continuous improvement led approach
  • Support the board and leadership team in delivering their 5–year strategic growth plan, including driving all people initiatives and supporting requirements to underpin the growth in revenue and capital investments over the period
  • Support the enhancement and development of their EVP, focused on retaining their employer of choice moniker
  • Develop and implement a suitable digitalised HR road map, leveraging and utilising systems and technology to deliver an optimal and efficient employee experience
  • Review and enhance existing HR Policies ensuring they support their people led brand values, whilst being fully compliant in each territory
  • Play an integral role in the delivery of a diverse and inclusive culture across every facet of the organisation and ensuring this is embedded across all HR policy and process

As a proven HR leader, the successful candidate will have:

  • An appropriate level of experience operating as a Human Resources/People Director within a similarly complex multi–function global business (4 years + most likely)
  • A demonstrable track record of adopting a continuous improvement led approach in your role, whilst appropriately harnessing technology and innovation to deliver an optimal employee experience
  • Experience in delivering major organisational change and restructuring programs
  • The ability to adeptly balance a demanding role requiring a genuine strategic capability with needing to be operationally hands on at times
