Head of Commercial Contracts
BlairWest are supporting an ambitious, high growth manufacturing organisation with the appointment of a Head of Commercial Contracts.
The Head of Commercial Contracts will be responsible for the review of the organisations' contractual activities, highlighting risks and leading on negotiation of new agreements where necessary.
The successful candidate must be a commercially minded individual, able to build relationships easily and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
We envisage that the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge from a legal / commercial contracts focussed role, and looking add value for an aspirational business.
The Role:
- Leading on contracts review, negotiation and governance;
- Review of customer / supplier agreements
- Negotiation of new contracts and agreements
- Highlight risks to relevant stakeholders and implementation of risk based controls
- Resolve contractual disputes
- Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure the future interests of the business
- Work with Senior Leadership team / Heads of Departments to understand existing contracts and framework agreements
Your Experience:
- Previous experience in the review and negotiation of commercial contracts from a legal / commercial or compliance background
- Knowledge of manufacturing / automotive sector would be advantageous
- Excellent inter–personal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels
