Hays is working exclusively with Ian Williams to recruit a Head of People based in their Chipping Sodbury office. Across these sectors, Ian Williams specialises in property maintenance and improvement, both planned and reactive repairs, painting and redecoration programmes, passive fire protection and compliance services. Your new role
This is a key leadership role which will play a pivotal part in further developing and contributing to the organisation's future successes. This will include utilising your extensive HR experience and effective skills to ensure values are always upheld across the organisation. You will be championing the people agenda and communicating its strategic importance, as well as managing the HR teams – Employee Services, Training & Development, Recruitment. Your focus will be including proposing, designing, implementing and maintaining systems to enable recruitment, training, development, and retention of necessary Human Resources to meet the operational budgets and plans of the company. This will include defining and influencing organisational culture as well as managing internal communication to achieve organisational objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong HR generalist management experience across key areas, including: Employee engagement, Employee wellbeing programme, Recruitment & induction Training & development, Talent identification & management, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Appropriate reward packages, Collaboration and communication across business, Operation of payroll, benefits, and pensions, Employment law compliance, Employee dispute resolution, Ownership of HR policies and procedures, Work with functional management and Directors to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures We are looking for a HR professional with a proven track in the following areas: Leadership, Communication and Vision, Teamwork and building an environment for people to succeed, Customer focus, Judgement and decision making, Managing Risk, Delivery and results, Employee Development, Influence, Change management.

Interviews for this position will be taking place at Ian Williams head office in Chipping Sodbury Bristol – 9th and 11th November 2021.
