Sourcing and Supply within UK Operations manages the material flow through the factory, enabling our packaging and processing areas to produce stock for customer orders. Post manufacture, the department also manages all product storage and shipment to over 100 countries globally. Divided into a number of departments, the function plans all aspects of the manufacturing process, liaising closely with our procurement team, inbound and outbound warehouses, line support teams and customer and distributor liaison. It is therefore vital that systems are managed and controlled in an efficient and cost effective manner.
The Planning Process & System Integration Partner owns assigned business and system processes, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, compliant and enable end users to make accurate planning decisions.
You'll need a deep knowledge of system and business processes, owning related IT issues for the systems and area concerned. You will drive system–related changes together with operations and IT, ensuring that systems supporting business processes are aligned and fit for purpose.
You will have links with global, regional and/or local stakeholders such as BPOs (Business Process Owners) and Process & System Integrators and will work closely with Operations IT, providing recommendations on prioritization of relevant system changes and projects
*Responsibilities:*
*Business Processes*
Drive local adherence to global standardised and harmonised business processes & usage of systems.
Participate in Regional process Network and Global Super User Forum.
Responsible for local communication on process changes and improvements.
Generate and drive improvements to business and system processes (both short–term and long–term).
*Capability, Training and Process Documentation *
Accountable for creation and maintenance of local planning process.
Owner of relevant planning documentation (SOPs and work instructions).
Responsible for training the team, both upskilling and new starters.
Work together with Site Planning Leads to develop the Planning Capabilities in the team.
*System Processes *
Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the UK Ops specific PPDS set up.
Coordinate, coach and drive the local planning system superusers
Own Change over matrix and SOFOS set up in APO, both from a capability and system set up perspective.
Define relevant system roles and access, owning IDM (Identity Management) for the Planning Team.
*Process Change*
Initiate and lead changes in relevant system processes.
Support the development of Business Cases, ensuring functionality and requirements meet UK Ops needs.
Work with the System Owner / Business Analyst to ensure business readiness to implement change.
*Cross functional Network*
Collaborate with partners within the process network locally, regionally or globally and act as the UK Ops Planning representative in relevant forums.
Collaborate with other Business & System Integrators in UK Ops (Production, QA, Distribution and key Information Management professionals) to develop best practice
Manage external cross–functional system–driven changes.
*Essential Skills*
* SAP, APO PPDS and ECC expertise, preferably with implementation experience
* Relevant experience from a complex Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning)
* Good understanding of drug manufacturing, systems and regulatory requirements (GMP)
* Proactive attitude and a collaborative problem solver
* Experience in cross–functional collaboration with manufacturing, IT and regional / global partners
* Strong influencing skills across all levels of the organisation
* Ability to work independently
*Desirable Skills:*
* A degree in Business, Supply Management or Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience with Lean & Manufacturing Excellence tools
* Project Management experience would be advantageous
