The Basics:
Location: Field–based covering the Merseyside area
Reporting to: HR Director
Days of Work: Monday–Friday, with flexibility required to support the needs of the business
Hours: 40 p/week

As HR Business Partner, you will support your division; you will work with teams, managers and key stakeholders to help build organisation and people capability, shape and implement effective people strategies and activities within the organisation. You will have an excellent understanding of the business, its strategy and customers, and a very good understanding of the people challenges faced.
Key Responsibilities:
To work in partnership with the MD & Head of Operations to create a people plan for each contract, taking into account the wider business strategy and overall people plan
To work in partnership with contract managers to deliver the people strategy and to create the best possible place to work for Carlisle family members
To develop and nurture key relationships with stakeholders, to become an integral part of the team and centre of excellence for all people expertise
To provide strategic and day–to–day leadership to drive the delivery of the people plans
To drive and lead on key projects / areas such as mobilisations, change management, organisational design, employee engagement, succession and talent analytics
To coach and mentor people managers on all people related matters
To support line managers across the business on workforce planning, organisational structure and design
To work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
To work in partnership with the external provider to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring cases are dealt with in timely manner and in line with relevant employment law
To be an advocate of HR policies, ensuring you remain abreast of employment law changes and that updates and changes are embedded into your division to ensure we remain compliant
To analyse people trends and people analytics to develop and enhance solutions, processes and policies that address current problems and avoid future ones
To support and lead on HR related projects derived from the overarching People Strategy
To create & deliver HR training sessions for all people managers across the business
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
A proven track record in leading on people change projects including employee engagement programmes, restructures, TUPE transfers, redundancy, pay and benefits
Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Ability to adopt a proactive and responsive approach to queries and escalation
Superb communication and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers
CIPD or human resources qualification up to level 5
Formal coaching, mediation and/or mentoring training
Knowledge and experience of implementing best practice HR solutions to drive a high–performance culture
Experience of coaching and influencing senior managers
Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence effectively with all levels of an organisation
Understands how to work with the business to identify, develop and retain talent
Excellent technical HR Knowledge
Strong Employee Relations background
Clean driving licence
Train the Trainer or Level 3 training qualification (PTTL)
Desirable:
Worked within a multi–site environment in a complex matrix structure
Worked within a service delivery business, with a variety of contract management
Ability to manage and lead consultations
Experience of working within a unionised environment
Person Specification:
