Head of Supply Chain

My client, a leading provider of utility services within the distribution industry, are looking to recruit a Head of Supply Chain to oversee and manage compliance across their multi distribution carrier network. The salary package that is available to the successful Head of Supply Chain is cGBP75,000 plus car allowance with an attractive bonus scheme also.

The successful Head of Supply Chain will be working for an extremely well–established company who have been a market leader in their field for several years. The salary here is competitive for a role of this nature and you would have the opportunity to be based at either their site in Manchester or Nottingham with a hybrid working model being used.

The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for monitoring and developing the effectiveness of the logistics functions at each of the group's locations, monitoring and driving performance of their carrier partners. The successful candidate will need to be passionate and results driven, you will have an autonomous role to shape the planning and management of supply chain movements by the business. As a senior team member, you will be tasked with ensuring the highest levels of performance through efficient management of their supply chain operation. You will lead your team and make process improvements where applicable, training and mentoring the staff as you push forwards.

The successful candidate can come from any sector background but some of their key responsibilities will be to engage with all internal stakeholders from top to bottom. You will lead your team on a journey as you define what "good" looks like for the business, so driving levels of engagement will be critical to your success.

Previous experience of working within a telecommunications, utilities or energy distribution environment would be preferable, you will strive to ensure that all supply chain activities are executed in accordance with service level agreements. This is a critical role in defining processes and ensuring adherence throughout the organisation, providing a platform for future development and growth. You will lead the Supply Chain team through effective leadership whilst they are responsible for the day–to–day operations.
