Our Smart/Agile working project is a project that is sponsored by our CEO to ensure our business is fit for purpose in a changing world, today but also in the future. We, as a business, recognise that how we work and how our customers want us to work is changing. We need to ensure our process, how we look after our people and how we do business evolve with those changes. Smart/Agile working is key in this, looking at our people, our IT/Technology and our facilities to ensure we are fit for purpose, improving our customer and employee experience, reducing cost and enabling us for business readiness.

As our project lead, you will take this project from where it is today to the next phase where we start to pilot new ways of working and processes that will lead us into full implementation which we anticipate will last for the next 18 months – 2yrs. This role will take over from an internal secondment who has led the project up to now and will drive it forward into the next phases.

Key focus areas include:

* Evolution of the Smart Working concepts developed to date by the team.

* Programme management of work streams in the project team to deliver Smart Working.

* Leadership of the Smart Working team and influencing senior leaders regarding the opportunities presented through SW.

* Working with stakeholders to understand requirements, key risks/concerns, planned activities that may impact the project, unplanned activities that need to be budgeted.

* Budget, plan & business case development.

* Keep Steer Co and Marshall Executive Team engaged with the programme, regularly updating using data in your reporting.

* Ensuring the delivery timetables are met within each business unit.

* Co–ordination with other functions as required such as Facilities, People Function, Business Information Systems.

* Update and maintain project plans for Smart Working implementation

* Reporting of risks, issues and blockers.

* Work closely with the business to identify opportunities, deal with objections and promote collaboration across the business.

Change Management

* Identify and create drivers for the change along with communication, facilitation and training of managers and employees to embed.

People Management

* Lead a small project team and pull on other parts of the business as required.

* Identify replacements or growth of the team as Smart Working develops (team seconded from other parts of the business)
