Sea Global are proud to be partnering with large European Power company, who are currently in the midst of a huge growth and transformation period, resulting in this exciting Head of Procurement vacancy. They have offices spanning across UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden and Germany, employing thousands of staff across Europe.

They are looking for someone to spearhead their Procurement Function, who will be a true Senior member within the organisation, reporting directly into the board.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead procurement process across sourcing and operational procurement processes
  • Manage a procurement team, ensuring procurement services are at a high standard
  • Negotiate and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as across all business departments, ensuring close collaboration and alignment with the central procurement function
  • Develop and lead the Group Purchasing Organizations towards becoming a fully automated procurement function
  • Work closely with IT, improving internal and external relationships in order to develop and transform the IT Category
  • Support, implement and build strategies that increase technology investment (to help the procurement function become more digital and sustainable)
  • Oversee procurement processes from cradle to grave, being responsible fort he ongoing development of your team
  • Assist in, manage and implement changes that result in the procurement function becoming more efficient and sustainable

Experience & Requirements

  • It is essential that you demonstrate experience across a breadth of procurement areas
  • Demonstratable experience across operational procurement and strategic sourcing and tendering processes
  • Will have experience managing large teams and amounts of spend
  • Able to manage and analyse large amounts of data
  • Ideally will be degree and MCIPS qualified
