A leading technology group has a new vacancy for a QHSE Director. Working with the senior management team you will develop and deliver a world class Quality, Health, Safety & Sustainability strategy that positions the company at the forefront of industry and ensures compliance with globally leading standards.
Commutable from: Bristol, Bath, Stroud, Newport, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Swindon.
Rate: GBP 70,000 – GBP 90,000 + excellent benefits
Suitable for: Health & Safety Director, QHSE Manager, HSE Manager, HSE Director, QHSE Director, Health & Safety Manager, QHSE Manager, QHSE Consultant.
The Role
To lead the delivery of annual objectives, programmes and projects to deliver the strategy
Ensure that the companies QHSE systems are effective, compliant with legal requirements and
other standards
Work closely with leadership team to develop Quality, Health & Safety and Sustainability
(operations) strategy
Build, lead and develop the QHSE team to act as trusted business partners to provide expertise,
systems, solutions and advice to the business on best practice in Quality, Health & Safety and
Sustainability.
Act as the key responsible person, expert and role model for Quality, Health & Safety & Environment for the business
Advise, coach and develop leadership team on matters related to Quality, Health & Safety and
Environmental.
Focus on the sites suitability plan and reducing environmental impact
To lead QHSE programmes and projects as required and in line with strategy
Drive 'continuous improvement' agenda to impact on business & workshop processes
The candidate
Proven track record of developing and introducing a sustainable QHSE strategy
Experience of managing and coaching as a key member of a senior management
Experience of developing and managing complex quality management systems to ISO9001 or a comparable standard
Experience of developing and managing Environmental systems
Improvement skills (lean, 6Sigma or similar)
Previous experience working in a complex environment
Effective working at all levels of the organisation, including strong influencing and coaching skills
Ability to successfully engage senior management and gain approval for plans including for improvements
Coaching and support for staff at all levels, including for senior management
Self–starter with significant experience of operating at a managerial level
