Job Description
We are briefed by a leading national law firm to recruit a Barrister or Solicitor Advocate into the Regulatory team in Leeds. The team is ranked as top tier by the legal directories and is one of the largest in the UK.
The practice is extremely busy and has ambitious growth plans, accordingly this is an integral role to assist the firm with building and developing the team in the north of England.
This is a highly varied role and you will be prosecuting for a wide range of public and private sector regulatory bodies across Yorkshire and nationally. The ideal candidate will be a Barrister with a minimum of 4 years call and strong experience in regulatory matters and managing an investigatory caseload. Strong solicitor advocates will also be considered. Expertise within the health sector will be highly regarded. You will advocate in both interim and substantive hearings on a range of straightforward and much more complex cases, including where there are allegations of fraud and other serious misconduct. The firm may also consider criminal barristers with strong corporate crime experience.
Whilst you will be part of the team in the North of England, there will be plenty of backing from the wider national team and a senior management presence in the Leeds office to support you. This is a great career developing opportunity for an established barrister looking for a change and to make their mark on an already highly successful practice.
