Job Title: HR Business Partner

Location: Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester

Hourly Pay Rate: Band 7 (pre 12 weeks – GBP16.97 basic PAYE / post 12 weeks – GBP20.49 basic PAYE)

Contract Length: Temporary (6 months) 37.5 hours per week

Grafton Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a HR Business Partner on behalf of our client–based in Manchester. The post holder will be an important and integral member of the HR team working across all directorates as necessary. They will proactively work with Centre/Director managers to support the forward planning, modernisation, engagement and performance of the workforce, embedding good HR practice and raising people management capability within the organisation.

Duties

Under the leadership of the Employee Relations Manager, the post holder will:

Improve people management capability

Implement strategies, policies, training programmes, coaching and mentoring schemes to support all managers within NICE in the attainment of a core set of people management competencies and knowledge of employment law and good HR management practice.

Workforce planning and resourcing

Partner with managers and the HR workforce planning Manager to formulate business plans and support the development of effective:–

Workforce establishment and skill mix plans
recruitment and retention plans;
strategies to either increase or decrease turnover
succession and talent management plans

Workforce performance

Support managers to interpret and analyse data to enable productivity gains including supporting the development of local plans to target and improve performance.
Support managers to improve motivation, engagement, development and attendance of staff.
Implement and monitor the HR key performance indicators for guidance producing centres, reporting performance regularly as part of the HR performance review cycle.

Change management

Provide expert advice, guidance and support to managers leading organisational change programmes, particularly in the areas of TUPE, changes to terms and conditions of employment, consultations redeployment, redundancy, and inter business transfers, to ensure such programmes are achieved in line with employment law and HR best practice to meet the needs of the organisation.

Applicant Criteria

CIPD qualified – Level 7
Significant experience of providing HR support as a Business Partner
Excellent oral and written communication skills including, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills
Experience of organisational change and organisational development.
Ability and commitment to work as part of the HR and Directorate teams in a professional and constructive way.
