Do you want to move into the environmental sector?

As we accelerate toward the 2050 deadline of the Paris Agreement, it's becoming increasingly clear we are not going to meet the goals we set ourselves. Which is why action needs to be taken now. Do you want to work for an organisation which is delivering impactful investment strategies for climate and environmental projects globally?

Goodman Masson is partnering with a fast–growing environmental fund manager to recruit their new Chief Financial Officer.

We are looking for a results–oriented CFO/COO who enjoys supporting businesses through growth, who is able to design and implement processes, systems and infrastructure from scratch. Do you have strong problem solving and creative skills, high levels of attention to detail, and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses?

You must have:

  • 10 years of successful experience as a senior level executive preferably in Compliance, Finance or a combination role
  • Demonstrable responsibility in a COO or equivalent financial and operational leadership role, preferably in the financial industry
  • FCA regulated experience in an Advisory, VC or PE business
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation

This role will have responsibility for Compliance and Risk, Accounting and Finance, IT, HR and Legal and will benefit from a supportive team which includes an experienced Group Accountant, a Financial Accountant and an Office Manager.

You will also be expected to represent the organisation externally so an understanding of the impact investment sector and environmental issues would be hugely beneficial.

As a start–up social enterprise, Director's salaries are capped at GBP70k. However with bonus, expected earnings in the first year are likely to be approx GBP90k. With share of annual dividend after 12 months expected earnings in the second year are likely to be approx GBP110k, with high year–on–year growth expected thereafter.

A note from the Managing Director:

"Our people are our business; we work hard to ensure that they have fulfilling careers and a good work/ life balance and offer flexible working and generous holidays so that staff can both meet client expectations and personal goals.

Together, we share a common set of values rooted in integrity, excellence and strong team ethic. A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives and needs is an important part of our culture."

This is an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from candidates from all backgrounds.
