Interim Strategic Finance Business Partner for a large public sector organisation in Birmingham.
Interim Finance Business Partner
Finance Business Partner for a large public sector organisation that is responsible for investing in the West Midlands across many areas including transport, skills, wellbeing and overall economic growth.
Your role
You will be providing a strategic business partnering service and acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in the Adult Education team. You will support the key stakeholders in the division by providing professional finance services to meet statutory requirements on behalf of the Head of Finance. This will involve providing positive leadership to a finance team, managing a performance culture focused on results for customers and which uses finance resources to best effect. You will also act as lead financial advisor to adult education on complex business appraisals, business change, commissioning and solutions development You will also provide value-added services, linking operational data and statistics to financial data to provide meaningful analysis for decision making (e. unit costs, cost drivers, benchmarking, KPIs etc)
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in the role you will be CCAB qualified or QBE. You will be someone that has a positive can do attitude and who can hit the ground running. You will need to be dynamic and be able to adapt to changing situations. There is a mixture of reactive and proactive work within the role so being comfortable with that will help.
What you'll get in return
6 months assignment
True hybrid working , no set days, but working with the budget holders and ensuring you are available when required to attend the office for meetings etc.
The opportunity to offer strategic finance advice to the area of the organisation that you will support and become an integral part of the team
Interviews for the role will take place on the 28/29th of October and the role will begin for the end of November / start of December.
