The Recipe
Are you a Learning & Development Business Partner with an Engineering qualification and background and looking for a new challenge? We have a unique opportunity, working alongside the Head of Engineering, to lead in the identification, development, and delivery of training and personal development solutions, to support the delivery of our Engineering led Manufacturing strategy.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

In this newly created role, you will have an opportunity to lead in supporting the development of our Engineering team across the UK, from site Operations to Head Office. You will have a background in engineering and a passion for L&D and be our industry expert leading and identifying engineering development needs.
Working cross–functionally you will have experience of providing engineering L&D solutions and delivery to provide interventions to support with the identification of talent and succession planning. You will facilitate opportunities for continuous development that supports and enables our Engineering talent pipeline for the future.
You will work collaboratively with the Engineering and Manufacturing leadership teams, the People Team and site operations, as the ambassador for the Engineering Academy, ensuring the programme adds value, is effective and successfully delivering against the business strategy. You will have proven experience of working within a matrix organisation and be able demonstrate engagement and a return on investment in a consistent and strategic approach to develop the breadth of engineering knowledge and skills across the organisation.
You will be partnering with 3rd party suppliers and will be able to build key relationships to identify higher education opportunities and professional registration, including engineering apprenticeships. You will be working in partnership with our Talent, Learning and Culture team and support and lead the organisation in identifying and then overseeing the design and implementation of relevant, engaging, and effective training solutions to enable overall upskilling of the engineering teams.
Essential Ingredients

* You will be a qualified engineer, HNC, HND or similar with a passion for Engineering development and training
* Experience of Learning and Development, ideally in a fast–paced and complex FMCG organisation
* Project management experience working with cross–functional stakeholders, analysing critical paths, and planning appropriate actions in a timely manner
* Flexible and agile in your approach, able to adapt to changing priorities with a solutions focus
* Proven experience using influencing and negotiating skills with internal and external stakeholders, confident in leading an innovative learning culture
* Demonstrates a passion for Engineering technologies and innovation, seeking opportunities to learn, improve and innovate
* Expert facilitator of group and individual face to face or virtual learning with the ability to engage different learner styles
* Credible and impactful communicator both in written and oral presentations
* Excellent knowledge of the learning cycle and experience in its implementation
* Experience of working with Learning Technologies and embraces a range of blended learning solutions
* Knowledge of management development theory, models, and best practice
