What you'll be doing:

This is a key appointment for an experienced and future focused Global Head of Talent to work alongside the Board for a period of 12 months. Reporting to the Global HR Director, this is a senior leadership position to create and embed a talent strategy that reflects the strategic direction of travel, drives business growth and creates a digitally savvy organisation that can attract, retain and develop talent.

Partnering with business leaders, the Global Head of Talent will enable the organisation to understand its current and future capability requirements. They will work closely with the leadership team to identify, nurture and develop future talent through leadership capability and high performance.

The Global Head of Talent will develop and lead the talent acquisition strategy, enabling the organisation to attract high quality talent to support the organisation on its future growth journey and digital transformation. They will lead the Talent Acquisition team, embedding the new Employer Value Proposition and talent experience strategy.

This role could be based remotely, however we would expect the Global Head of Talent to spend around 2 days a week in our Newcastle Head Office.

What we are looking for:

The person we are looking for will be a highly experienced Talent professional who is future focused and can bring a wealth of expertise across both talent development and attraction. Experience of working within a digital organisation or who has taken a business on a digital transformation journey is essential. You will be highly creative and able to influence business leaders. You will be able to demonstrate the following experience;
  • Working with business leaders, enabling them to understand their future talent requirements
  • Ability to understand the business strategy and establish key talent priorities
  • Developing successful leadership development programmes which have improved leadership capability and driven high performance
  • Developing and embedding competency frameworks
  • Utilising data and insights to drive decision making
  • International experience is highly desirable but not essential
