GENERAL

• Provide general Technical support for all schemes from planning to turnkey handover.

• Assist and support other departments of Construction, Commercial, Buying and Interior Design in

Technical issues.

• Responsible for the project management of the post–planning Technical Team from planning approval to contract completion, to oversee the production of working drawings, building regulation submissions, warranty conditions discharge, tender and procurement of sub–contractor packages and construction information, all to an agreed procurement programme.

• Oversee the technical department budget in relation to all consultant and technical fees and provide a board report each month in relation to the budget.

• Liaise with the Quality Control Manager to compile and agree a set of standard details to be used across the group in relation to best construction practices.

POST PLANNING

• Agree the Appointment of Technical Team Consultants including the agreement of a full scope of Services, quality of drawings, and information and fees.

• Provide design support and advice to Commercial Surveyors and Buyers on technical issues in particular the procurement of sub–contractor packages.

• Provide Technical support and advice to the Construction Team throughout construction period.

• Responsible to ensure the Technical department provides the following:

o information for Planning Condition submission and approvals.

o information for Building Warranty submissions and approvals.

o information for all Testing Regimes, i.e. Building Control certificates, air/sound tests,

SAP/EPC's, CML's, etc.

o information for all O&M Manuals.

o information to sales staff in marketing and the preparation of marketing literature and

material.

o successful overall preparation and conclusion of collateral warranties.

• Attend Technical Team meetings, as required.

• Issue DTM action Point reminders to Technical Team prior to meetings, as required.

• Responsible for the approval of Purchase Orders/contracts for the consultants.

• Mentor the Technical managers and support them in their duties.

• Provide a support network of meetings to ensure clarity across the projects from a technical perspective.

• Visit sites across the Group on a regular basis.

• Responsible for any future recruitment of Technical Managers in conjunction with the Construction Director

• Expected to be an active member of the Senior Operations Team.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role. Healthcare experience would be a bonus
