*Extensive experience of operating in a senior finance public sector role with responsibility for large budgets and the production of the Annual Report and Accounts
*Negotiating & influencing stakeholders with credibility at Board and Committee level, with senior leaders, Corporate Services leads and scientific leaders outside the management chain.
*Excellent track record of building stakeholder relationships which drive strategic investment, influence decision making with impact and professional credibility and professional networks.
*Demonstrable experience of providing insight and clear strategic understanding to ensure financial results and goals are embedded into the decision–making process at all levels of the organisation.
*Analysing and interpreting a variety of sources of information, and reporting conclusions and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
*Ability to convincingly and credibly challenge and influence at the most senior levels in a considered and professional manner.
*Excellent leadership skills and the ability to articulate a vision and engage people to deliver results even in times of ambiguity.
*Excellent customer service ethos and focus on delivery with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and escalating where appropriate
*Highly effective communication skills and a demonstrable ability to effectively lead, motivate and inspire teams and stakeholders to improve service delivery and to deliver results even in times of ambiguity.
