Business Development Manager – Software Solutions into Education
Basic salary circa GBP30,000 but there may be some flexibility with GBP50,000 OTE + benefits
Remote home based role
My client is an established provider of innovative software to the Education sector. They were formed to address the problems of the income collection process in schools and now have over 3000 schools across 145 Local Authorities nationwide using their systems. They are looking for a new business focused sales professional to join the team and help the business grow!
The Role:
* Selling software for income collection and space booking into the education sector throughout the UK
* Sourcing your own leads and creating opportunities with primary and secondary schools but also multi academy trusts to demonstrate and sell the full software solution.
* This is a home based role, sourcing business throughout the UK
* This will mostly be business done through video meetings and online demonstrations but there may be a little face to face too.
* You'll have some inbound leads, an extensive database and strong marketing support to work with
* You will also attend trade fairs and industry events to build relationships and a better knowledge of the market and competitor activities.
The Person:
* We're looking for someone with experience either selling software solutions into any market, or someone selling into the education sector. If you've done both this would be great but it's not a prerequisite.
* You'll have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a strong presenting ability.
* You will be a talented, proactive new business professional but with the ability to build solid long term relationships with customers.
* You may be presenting to groups of people so the confidence and skill to hold attention in an engaging and positive way would definitely be a requirement.
* Self motivated and driven, you'll be used to working autonomously and independently.
The Package:
* A basic salary around GBP30,000 is offered but there may be some flexibility depending on experience
* On target earnings are uncapped but are circa GBP50,000 per annum
* 25 days holiday + stats
* Medical insurance and pension
* Travel insurance and other benefits are also available.
