We are looking for someone with experience of establishing a finance reporting function, which focuses on delivering high quality financial and non-financial information, both internal and external, supported by collaborative business partnering which will enable enhanced decision making.

The successful candidate will reporting the Group Financial Controller, working closely across the business with senior stakeholders and budget holders to support the businesses future plans.

The role will lead a team of 3 finance professionals. About the role As Head of Reporting, you will be responsible for;

  • Leading on the standardisation of accounting policies between all group companies to achieve harmonisation across the group, including UK and foreign subsidiaries / Group companies.
  • Leading on the financial reporting process across the Group, ensuring the needs of the business are met, delivered accurately and within reporting guidelines.
  • Leading on monthly and quarterly reviews, challenging budget holders, senior management team and directors on variances against forecast, ensuring significant variances are reported with recommended action. Working closely with key stakeholders as required.
  • Working with the relevant teams to develop, implement a capital project framework, which supports the development of a capital programme and considers the entire lifecycle of a capital project from inception to delivery, to include monitoring performance against key capital projects and benefits realisation tracking.


About you

As Head of Reporting, you will, Have significant experience in leading teams in areas of finance controls, compliance and transactional finance activities.

  • Have significant experience in leading teams in areas of financial reporting and management reporting.
  • Have experience of implementing a business partnering approach within a finance setting.
  • Be up to date on accounting standards and have managed corporation tax.
  • Be a Qualified Accountant with significant post qualification experience.
  • Be a successful leader, with the ability to lead, develop, coach and motivate a team.
  • Be a clear communicator with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
  • Have excellent problem solving & decision making skills, who is able to apply a common sense, pragmatic and practical approach.
  • Be highly motivated, collaborative and results driven
