Our Client is a thriving Company with ambitious plans for future growth. Due to an internal promotion, they are now seeking a Talented and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join them. This role can be based from the Office in Livingston or can be performed remotely, from anywhere in the UK.
The role involves:
* Identifying Sales leads, understanding and gathering requirements and pitching solutions/services to customers.
* Building and strengthening relationships with new and existing customers.
* Reviewing RFQ's, preparing proposals, quotations and presentations.
* Meeting and exceeding Sales targets.
* Providing sales forecasts to the board.
* Identifying sources of funding and preparing funding proposals.
* Working with the Product Engineering Lead to develop new product definitions and specifications.
You will have:
* A proven track record in Business Development in a high–tech field (essential).
* Knowledge of Optoelectronics assembly/packaging processes (essential).
* Knowledge of narrow linewidth diode lasers and quantum applications (desirable).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* The ability to build strong, enduring relationships.
* Strong listening and negotiating skills.
* A Degree in a relevant discipline (desirable)
