Your new role

• As a member of the Preclinical Leadership team (directly responsible for 1 Head, and 2 Group Leaders), you will utilise your expertise in Immunology, Cell Biology, and Tumour Biology to provide strategic input into Pipeline Research.
• This will involve developing and implementing strategies for cell & tissue profiling, modelling, and imaging to support R&D teams through the pipeline in a scientifically rigorous and efficient way.
• You will manage a diverse team of scientists, providing your experience and mentorship for project leadership.
• You will liaise with project management to identify and evaluate key external partnerships, in collaboration with Business Development and Clinical Development functions.
• You will act as a key representation, interpreting and ensuring robust data to stakeholders and at project meetings, additionally communicating strategy to executive leadership.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will hold an MSc or PhD qualification (or equivalent research experience) in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Immuno–oncology (or in a relevant scientific area), including proven extensive experience in a Biotech/ Pharma/ CRO setting (Experience in T–Cell Biology research is a bonus)
• You will bring demonstrable line management experience (including mentoring/ supervision of other scientist(s)).
• You will have proven project leadership experience.
