Programme Manager

Our client (who is a leader in their field) is currently looking for a Programme Manager experienced in managing multiple multi GBPmillion programmes and associated stakeholders, ideally stating on a contract basis initially but with potential to become a permanent role. The mix of projects is interesting, as they cover most areas of the business due to an integration of an acquisition. This is a great opportunity for someone who has commercial savvy and who is a sophisticated communicator.

The company has offices in Essex, Hampshire and Northamptonshire, you will need to live somewhere in which you can occasionally travel to all 3 sites.

The Role

This is a Programme Manager role, where you will be responsible for end to end programme/project delivery, ensuring the assigned projects are completed to time, in budget and to the expected high standard of quality.

Duties will include:

• Full lifecycle management and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously
• Constant reporting of project status and progress to senior management
• Co–ordination of an important strategic acquisition, which could include tasks including onboarding, migration of activities, staff and premises
• True programme management, seeing the wider context of how the projects sit within the business and how they fit together, using acumen to make decisions on what is important to achieve and how this fits into other moving parts – ie big picture

Ideal Candidate

You will need to have a proven track record as a Programme Manager, managing multi GBPmillion projects. This is not a bog standard mechanical project management role but instead requires a much more sophisticated approach to organisation and people. You need to understand other stakeholders priorities and have an interactive approach to persuade and influence as necessary and work with the various teams with a collaborative approach.
