A six–month contract where you will contribute to the work of the Financial Crime department in one of the worlds leading financial groups. Your role within the Financial Crimes Office will include memberships of projects and working groups and assisting with other priorities in the department or group as a whole.

As a member of the technology team, you will provide the following services to the department:

  • Using expert knowledge about FCC systems across the region to providing ongoing support to teams in London and across the region related ad hoc queries and potential issue escalation.
  • Support the delivery of system enhancements and upgrade projects from requirements gathering to implementation. Act as a point of challenge around requirements, design and testing to ensure changes meet requirements without introducing risk.
  • Support with issue resolution when issues are identified in FCC systems, including remediation activities, system changes, reporting to stakeholders.
  • Oversee all change governance process across EMEA to ensure our continued compliance with requirements and system changes are not going live without approvals. This may include delivering training across the region, reviewing changes, supporting projects to complete appropriate governance, raising issues if identified.

The purpose of the role will be to ensure systems across the region, and associated work processes are working correctly i.e. as expected and appropriately. Responsibilities include managing systems post implementation, testing and support for system implementations and upgrades, effectiveness testing, assurance reviews and responding to ad hoc issues.

Additional responsibilities include driving forward the adoption of change management processes and compliance with the Global Technology Standards.

You are responsible for:

  • Taking a lead role in system change projects such as upgrades or enhancements, including design and implementation of User Acceptance Testing, including providing challenge to the project team around requirements, design and test results to ensure all angles are considered.
  • Reporting and presenting to management on identified risks and industry trends for enhancement
  • Supporting regional and local teams with compliance with governance requirements as stated in the Global Technology Standard.
  • Supporting on–going and new Financial Crime systems projects, driving and informing business requirements from a Financial Crime Technology perspective.
  • Being a key contact for escalations from multiple 1st and 2nd Line teams across EMEA on FCC systems related queries and issues.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Relevant experience in a financial services firm

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Essential

  • Broad understanding of financial crime systems and in banking, and a general understanding of the concepts of risk management and control
  • Good experience conducting UAT or assurance testing for Financial Crime systems
  • Strong background in project deliver and experience in good project management practices.
  • Experience, interacting with stakeholders and financial crime system vendors at a senior level
  • Experience in report and methodology writing and delivery to non–technical audiences

Preferred

  • Previous experience using, testing and/or tuning transaction monitoring systems such as SironAML, Actimize, etc or sanctions screening systems such as Finscan, Hotscan or Safewatch.
  • A good understanding of EMEA wide Financial Crime regulations, banking products and the UK regulatory environment and strong knowledge of IT and systems.

Benefits

Salary: Up to GBP377.93 per day (PAYE)
