One of the most prestigious universities in Central London is in need of a Head of HR for an initial 3 month period to support the entire university strategy
Job Purpose:
This role is a key member of the HR Leadership Team and has the responsibility for developing and delivering the university's HR Strategy
This role partners the Vice–Provost(s), Deans, and Directors of Operations
The Head of HR is responsible for leading the development and implementation of local strategies for attraction, retention, engagement, and development of people in line with the University/School/Faculty strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibility to input into the development of the HR Strategy across the university
Lead the development and implementation of local people strategies to support the attraction, retention, engagement, and development of all staff in the School in line with the HR strategy.
Manage and resolve complex scenarios in conjunction with relevant members of the HR organization.
Monitor and interpret HR analytics across the School and share these insights with leaders and managers to enhance their understanding
Lead on succession planning and talent management with the School / Faculties / Divisions and ensuring that we have a diverse talent pipeline.
Support with the recruitment of senior roles within the School / Faculties / Divisions including coordinating effective attraction and selection campaigns.
To work with the Vice–Provost / Deans / Directors of Operations and the Central EDI team on improving the diversity and equity of the general and senior populations in the Faculties.
Person Specification:
A significant level of expertise acquired in a relevant senior HR role(s) in a complex organization
Experience in supporting the development and implementation of workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management strategies.
Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and able to demonstrate impact.
Experience in developing and implementing approaches to improve the engagement and retention of people, demonstrating successful and/or measurable outcomes.
Evidence of development and/or implementation of successful Equality Diversity and Inclusion strategies.
Experience of/ability to successfully build trusted and sustained relationships with stakeholders/clients and colleagues
Experience in successfully leading, managing, and developing teams
The working pattern, is 2 days a week in the office, usually Mondays and Tuesdays like the rest of the team. But flexible to come in any other days if required. So hybrid working pattern.
