Our client Lloyds Banking Group is a leading UK based financial services group providing a wide range of banking and financial services, focused on personal and commercial customers. On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, AMS are looking for a Assistant Finance Manager for a 6 month contract based in Bristol.

Purpose of the Role:

  • The role is in the Performance MI team, which is responsible for the production and development of high quality, timely and assured management information for the Commercial Banking business and Finance Business Partners. The successful candidate will have exposure to multiple areas of the Commercial Banking business, an excellent opportunity for personal development and career progression, and an opportunity to make a real difference to the way Finance operates. As a Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Production and reporting of timely and high quality management information to support the CB Finance business
  • Develop existing MI in line with business structure and system changes
  • Using data and analysis skills to provide insight and analysis by enhancing existing MI, building new MI and completing ad hoc requests
  • Challenging the way things are done to continually improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Migrating work into the Bristol MI team in line with the CB Finance strategy of centralisation
  • Management of multiple stakeholders, data providers and technical specialists, as well as leveraging expertise in the wider Finance community
  • Actively contributing to Building The Best Team activity
  • Planning and organisation
  • Data and analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills to manage maintenance and development of models (Access an advantage)
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Understanding of Finance systems like SAP and TM1 an advantage but not essential
  • Knowledge of CB systems like PRISM and OneMI an advantage but not essential

What we require from the candidate:

  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Experience in accounting and finance space
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Self starter
  • SQL experience – desirable
  • Power BI – desirable


Lloyds Banking Group will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
