Business Development Manager – Sporting Events

Our client is at the forefront of the rapidly growing sporting events sector. Trading for over 20 years, our client has been tremendously successful in managing full–cycle sponsorship and premium event sales campaigns for some of the Region's top sporting brands from motor racing to boxing. As the business is expanding, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to take advantage of these prosperous times. Based in the tropics this role comes with a fantastic relocation package.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leader in sporting event and sponsorship sales. They are looking for new business development managers with a passion for winning new business to join their team in the Asia Pacific region.
The keys to this role:
* Develop new business by closing deals effectively. One call close mentality.
* Pitch and present with passion and enthusiasm.
* Effectively communicate and overcome objections to win new business.
* Work alongside an award–winning team of BDM's who are all focused on success.
* Office based in Kuala Lumpur
Requirements
* You will have a great track record with developing new business and closing deals over the phone or face to face.
* You will ideally have an advertising/sponsorship background, however this is not essential. All candidates with a minimum 2 years direct sales experience will be considered.
* You will be a very motivated individual with the ability to listen and fully understand your client's needs and exceed their expectations.
* You will be enthusiastic, articulate with the drive and ambition to build long lasting and profitable relationships.
The Package
The Business Development Manager will initially start on a basic salary of GBP25,000–GBP30,000, with a very attractive commission structure which will bring your on target earning upwards of GBP75,000 in your fist year, although last year the top biller earned considerably more. You will be given training by the company to develop your commercial awareness. As well as that you will be furnished with flights, visa, company serviced apartment and access to the gym, pool and golf course.
