Our client is an ambitious and fast growing software services company providing a range of solutions to customers in the UK and overseas. It's clients and partners include well known brand names, SME's and government organisations.

Role - Legal Counsel:

Reporting to the Head of Legal, as Legal Counsel you will interact at the highest level within the company, and you will have a high degree of autonomy and responsibility for day-to-day commercial legal matters.

The work is predominantly commercial and contractual, with a substantial focus on software/SaaS, licensing, framework, distributor, development, website and other technology contracts and agreements.

You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, and, working closely with the sales and business teams, you will take an active role in reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex contracts with customers and suppliers.

In addition to your contractual software/technology responsibilities, you will also provide advice on a broad range of other issues and project specific matters. This could include local law compliance, working with overseas counsel, disputes, IP, privacy and data protection.

About you:

We are looking for a UK qualified commercial solicitor with c. 3-6 years' PQE gained at a leading regional or national law firm, or equivalent in-house department.

You should have an interest in technology and the software sector, and you must be comfortable working in a fast paced and entrepreneurial business which will afford you a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.

Existing technology or software/SaaS experience is preferred, as is some experience working in-house, however my client is open minded for the right person.
