What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Head of Supply Chain Planning to drive customer service excellence and achieve lowest cost of manufacture through effective leadership and management of the Supply Chain Planning department. By managing and developing the Planning team through a coaching style, you will continually optimise the supply chain planning function and maintain effective supplier/customer relationships, both internally and externally.

The role includes but is not limited to:

* Achieving and maintaining market leading ex–factory customer service levels;
* Working within the finished goods inventory policy to ensure stock holding is in line with working capital targets and physical constraints whilst reducing the risk of obsolescence and subsequent write–off;

* Using the stock policy and demand plan to produce a 52–week master production schedule (MPS) and a 3–week stable production plan. Also generating a materials requirement plan based on the MPS and managing the ordering of materials and packaging, using dotted line oversight of the site scheduling teams to drive best practice;
* Ensuring that Co–Pack customer requirements are communicated and championed adequately within the business, investigating issues and generating corrective actions and long term fixes as required;
* Ensuring that the correct KPIs, training and procedures are in place for the efficient and effective running of the Supply Chain Planning team;
* Maintaining a good understanding of the commercial and operational priorities within the business, and ensuring that this is shared with the Supply Chain Planning team as necessary
* Continual analysis of production scheduling rules to minimise waste and to improve line efficiency by reducing non–value adding line activities.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a capable and empowering leader with a clear vision, who enables team members to flourish. You'll have CIPS, another relevant degree or 5+ years of experience in an influential supply chain leadership role.

The salary for this role is dependent on experience. We offer an annual bonus incentive and a good company pension scheme, private healthcare for you and your family, 4x basic salary life assurance plus 25 days holiday in addition to bank holidays (with the option to purchase additional holidays). Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30 – 5.00, Fridays 8.30 – 4.00.
