Director in the Insurance Consulting team – leading digital operations transformation

The insurance industry (across life, pensions and insurance) is going through a period of systemic transformation; with companies updating legacy systems, processes and operations.

Do you want to be at the forefront of this transformation? Have you got the skills and enthusiasm to build the next generation of insurance companies?

We are looking for Consulting Directors to work across Insurance within the FS Consulting team, the candidate can be nationally based with expected travel in the UK and globally.

The successful individual will join the FS operations team, with a specific focus on digital business model and operations transformation within insurance.

The role will focus on five key areas comprising 'Digital Operating Model'; there is a critical need for this offering in the market driven by the shift away from product to customer outcomes, expectations of digital insurance services. This set against the landscape of outdated products, manual and complex processes and legacy technology.

Core skills and capabilities:

  • Operations & process transformation (e.g. intelligent automation, machine learning and digital operating model)
  • The re–design of propositions and experience (e.g. move to customer outcomes)
  • Intermediary/customer sales & retention effectiveness (e.g. leveraging analytics and core insurance platforms)
  • Underwriting/pricing transformation (e.g. customer lifetime value & predictive models)
  • End–to–end cost transformation (e.g. front–to–back operating model re–design to create the lean digital insurer)

This will involve close collaboration with the new data and analytics practice, the digital and customer team and creative agencies (e.g. Pond) using PWC's Business Experience Technology (BXT) approach.

As a Director in the Insurance Operations space, the role will be:

•To be the engagement leader on client engagements, leading advisory projects (e.g. diagnostic reviews, cost transformation or TOM engagements) on client sites and being responsible for senior–level client liaison. You may also act as the delivery director for larger projects in the plan, analyse, design phases which are led by a UK or global Partner or otherwise as part of a wider team.

•To leverage your skill set, to open up and shape initial opportunities, undertake the design of key initiatives (e.g. Target Operating Model) and deliver into the initial phases of execution.

•Develop I&AWM's Digital Operating Model proposition and associated thought leadership. This will include tools such as RPA, Perform, AI etc. as will as platforms such as FNZ, Sonata, BaNCS, SSP, Fidata, etc

Our ability to attract and retain top talent will be a critical element of our success in this area.

You will therefore take a role in supporting senior leadership team as part of the business model transformation team leadership and management, recruiting and building a core team to deliver these projects, as well as developing an efficient delivery model which draws on wider FS and competency resources across Consulting and the wider business.
