Proven construction products sales leader required to direct, steer and spearhead our client's internal and external UK sales teams.

The Position:

Reporting to the General Manager, the appointed Sales Director will:

* Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for the business

* Promote the company to architects, end users, contractors and developers throughout the UK

* Secure new business through new and existing contacts

* Generate enquiries, present company products, gain specifications and follow up leads and quotations

* Lead and direct the Sales Team

* Produce sales forecasts and annual sales targets, projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products

* Meet monthly sales targets and weekly reporting on sales activity

* Arrange and present CPDs

* Implement marketing strategy, analyse trends and results

The Candidate:

Applicants will be resilient and experienced sales leaders capable of demonstrating:

* Proven senior management capability in leading and recruiting a multi–site team

* Significant aptitude for managing external and internal sales staff

* Experience of KPI setting and monitoring, performance reviews and professional development

* A 'hands on' strong leadership style, leading by example

* Previous sales experience with ability to demonstrate sales success and achieving set targets

* Good knowledge of either glazing products or the wider construction industry

* Demonstrable business acumen, commercial awareness and knowledge including the ability to negotiate and build lasting relationships.

* Knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (eg CRM)

* Good communications skills, both written and verbal

* Exemplary organisational and time–management skills

* Experience in gaining specifications for construction products

* Advanced computer skills
