A highly visible role that will be responsible for providing accurate month end results, analysis and commentary across all entities; coordinating cross business finance processes; ensuring that various financial systems are integrated and delivering strong cost control across the organisation.

Description
- Lead the month end close process, ensuring submission to European deadlines, with a high level of accuracy and scrutiny over the numbers
- Work with the business to ensure complete and accurate accruals and prepayments schedules
- Compile and review all tax returns
- Liaise with external and internal auditors to approve changes in accounting assumptions & estimates and deliver information as required to achieve successful, clean audit findings
- Control and review all balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining a schedule of risks & opportunities
- Responsibility for managing the accounts team (AP and Credit Control), ensuring processes are in place to deliver accurate payment runs and identify any anomalies
- Produce statutory accounts (IFRS) and corporation tax returns for the group and its various subsidiaries as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and legislation
- review effectiveness of internal controls covering financial, operational and compliance
- Assist Financial Planning and Analysis team to prepare rolling forecasts of profit/loss, balance sheets and cash flows
- Support Financial Planning & Analysis to Identify key non–financial metrics, develop the systems and processes to capture the information and report on these in line with business strategies
Profile
This role would be ideal for a candidate who has similar experience in a transformation/change environment. It would be highly advantageous if you have had exposure to outsourcing projects or shared service centre.
