Our client is a highly recognised brand within both the land based and online gaming industry. They are a fast paced and dynamic business, with big ambitions and a high growth strategy. Their online operations were launched just over 2 years ago, and this area of the business offers an exciting opportunity for high growth, utilising an omnichannel approach to build from their strong presence in land–based venues. To help achieve the groups growth strategy, they are now looking to recruit a talented Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join the online business and lead a team of Analysts.

Role

As Senior Commercial Finance Manager you will report to the Finance Director. Your focus will be on the online business, but with a clear remit to help leverage the group's omnichannel opportunity. Leading a small team of Analysts, you will be expected to develop your team and help improve their skillset and experience. Key to this role will be supporting the commercial and operational teams by giving them strong financial analysis to help them make better business decisions, driving sales and profitability.

• Review of weekly and periodic reports for the Digital business, presenting key updates and conclusions from KPI reports to senior management on a daily and weekly basis.
• Insights and analysis of initiatives and new products, making informed recommendations based on performance trends.
• Leading and developing a commercial finance analysis team of three.
• Developing and improving commercial insights and analysis and delivering ad–hoc analysis as required.
• Liaising with the Digital Operations team to capture upcoming reporting and analysis needs.
• Ownership of commercial finance analysis for the Digital business, supporting other members of the commercial finance team to deliver analysis and strategic insight.
• Genuine chance to progress to become Head of Commercial Finance for Digital.

Requirements

To be considered for this excellent opportunity it is important you have experience within the betting and gaming (iGaming) industry. In addition, you must have a strong record of success as a Commercial Finance Manager. You will have the ability to take lots of data and information and use this to present concise and usable actions and directives.

• Experience of analysing datasets to identify trends and presenting the findings in clear to understand formats.
• Relevant sector experience in betting and gaming (iGaming)
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify key trends and issues that impact commercial performance.
• Experience of presenting key trends, conclusions and insights to senior management in a concise and clear manner.
• Experience of building relationships across a business, with the ability to manage competing demands, prioritise and work with key stakeholders.
• Experience of improving on existing working practices.
• Experience of developing junior team members and managing the priorities of the team.
• Highly numerate, ideally with an accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA or ACCA).
• Experience with data analysis tools including SQL and PowerBI. Excellent Excel skills is a must.
• Great communication skills with strong data visualisation and presentation skills, with a desire to improve quality and efficiency of existing outputs.
