Position: Business Development Manager Vertical markets
Location: UK (Based in the Northern half of the UK)
Products: Project based Control & Automation solutions (PLC, HMI, SCADA, Networking, Motion Control, Robotics)
Company: Global Automation & Control Manufacturer
Salary GBPNEG DOE + Great OTE + Car + Pension + various additional benefits

The primary objective of this role is provide sales and marketing activity that delivers continued and sustained growth in selected vertical industry sectors (for example: Food & Bev and Life Sciences etc).

To do this as the new Business Development Manager Vertical markets you would need to:

Provide direction for the division in the specified vertical markets
Provide and manage an annual Industry business plan
Work as part of a dynamic, customer focused sales team
Drive a multi–layered approach to key customers by utilising the expertise of different divisions within the business
To maximise your opportunity to create value and benefit from this dynamic growing and exciting business, it is expected you will already have experience in a similar role, having accumulated skills and experience such as:

being technically conversant in an Electrical/Electronic engineering (a technical qualification is preferred, but not essential)
strong understanding of the industry verticals you are interested in serving
being comfortable in a business development, key account management marketing and strategic planning role
experienced selling to end user customers by gaining specification.
conducting a value–driven sales process with the customer
excellent understanding of Control & Automation (PLC, HMI, SCADA, Networking, Motion Control, Robotics) products and system solutions
