An opportunity has arisen within an East of England NHS organisation for an Interim Deputy Head of Employee Relations, to provide leadership and management to the Employee Relations service across the organisation.
Main responsibilities:
Manage the Employee Relations team, responsible for undertaking all in–employment transactions, building HR capability through mentoring and training programmes;
Develop, implement and monitor effective employee relations processes within the team;
Deputise for the Head of HR as required;
Input to all Employment Policies to ensure they are current, relevant and comply with both employment law and best practice, ensuring consultation with Staff Side prior to communication and training of the Workforce;
In liaison with the Head of Leadership and Talent, participate in design and delivery of a suite of training offers that include both operational and behavioural courses and workshops;
Resolve complex employee relations issues in line with Trust Policy and Procedure, act as an expert where required and understand the need for Employment Law advice and intervention in a timely manner.
Key Skills/Experience:
CIPD qualification
Significant experience of leading complex ER cases at the highest level
Knowledge and understanding of key NHS issues including national and local policy drivers
Demonstrable high–level understanding of employment law and Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions
