Our Team

The Operations Project Team supports a number of technology/business programs linked to the maintenance and enhancements of trading flow infrastructure. The team is a main point of contact for Technology and the Business for initiatives and change management across all products for the International Private Bank.

Being part of the Operations Project Team, the successful candidate will be working in conjunction with our internal partners including Operations (Middle and Back Office teams), Technology, Business Management, Legal, Compliance and Risk. Our team executes various Projects that design operating models, provide solutions to optimise business flows, bring efficiencies and keep our platform compliant with regulations applicable to our legal entities and branches .

The Role

The role will be responsible for assisting and owning various stages of the project lifecycle from analysis through requirement gathering and onto implementation; governed by a robust project plan and utilising pragmatic application of project management methodologies. The successful candidate will rapidly become a subject matter expert in the brokerage trade flows to drive technology change projects and the introduction/enhancement of business flows. The candidate will drive forward priorities, understand and document the impact of operating model changes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience of banking operations (preferably from the investment sector), a good understanding of project management and be confident at stakeholder relationship building. He/she will also be able to work with broader groups whilst helping drive the strategic objective of the group and communicating appropriately.

Candidates should in addition have the following attributes:
  • Ability to manage and prioritize initiatives that are requested by stakeholders,
  • Excellent organisational skills,
  • Capability to plan and perform testing and regression testing,
  • Provide updates on the project status to senior management and stakeholders,
  • Adaptability to learn new tasks and demonstrate a willingness to understand the details of a process,
  • Strong ownership with ability to operate in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking are also required in driving solutions, initiatives and projects,
  • Energetic team player with good communication skills who is enthusiastic and dedicated,
  • Ability to multi–task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines,
  • Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills,
  • High level of integrity,
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to implement and manage day–to–day tasks,
  • Identify critical requirements and potential gaps by understanding complex and interdependent processes,
  • Ability to work under pressure,
  • Excellent command of English language, knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Previous experience in middle office and/or strategic planning, operating model development and data analysis and/or consulting is desirable, as is a background in investment management.
