Reporting into the Associate Director – Digital, Data & Technology, and working closely with Digital Managers, the post holder has responsibility for the operational delivery and technical advisory management of the Digital Function. This includes operational oversight of the IT, Data Insight & Reporting and Digital Estates & Projects teams within the Digital function.

Description
Provide the Digital team with excellent operational leadership,
ensuring that our values are demonstrated in every aspect of the role.
Act as an advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion, proactively
championing the three agendas and acting as a role model for them within
the organisation.
Oversee the Digital team day–to–day activities, managing performance
and helping them to develop to deliver outstanding work.
Ensure that the IT, Data Insight & Reporting and Digital Estates &
Projects teams within the Digital function are delivering an excellent BAU
service and meeting objectives and Company KPIs.
Provide technical advice and support to the Digital team, steering
technical operational delivery.
Oversee the Digital demand process and pipeline activity.
Oversee the Company's IT team within the Digital function and delivery of the
IT strategy.
Provide support and act as a point of escalation to the IT manager in
managing 3rd party IT and system suppliers.
Ensure that appropriate processes are in place for IT security, and that industry standards are met.
Lead data and technology training across the workforce, ensuring that
training materials are kept up–to–date and made available to users.
Ensure that an excellent IT service is always provided to the business.
Oversee the Company's Data Insight & Reporting team within the Digital
function and delivery of the Data strategy.
Provide support and act as a point of escalation to the Data Insight and Data
Warehouse managers.
Ensure that appropriate processes are in place forstaff, and that all content is up–to–date, accurate
and relevant.
Take the lead with Digital managers to produce a Digital communications plan, ensuring that each manager provides regular communications updates to the business.
Profile
Evidence of successfully managing complex projects.
Knowledge of the digital environment and technological advances.
Strong technical background.
Experience of building up technical capability within an organisation.
Strong track record of team and performance management.
Strong track record of working with and successfully influence technical and non–technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of operating at a senior level in a complex organisation.
Experience of leading a multidisciplinary team of at least 6 staff
Evidence of innovative but practical delivery and problem solving.
Desirable:
Knowledge of the NHS including the national agenda.
Familiarity with UK public sector.
Knowledge related to a corporate and property portfolio.
Experience of how to work within and with the public sector and government (local and central).
Experience gained in a similar sized or larger organisation that has seen significant change or growth.
Experience of managing an extensive programme of digital transformation.
Experience of managing the delivery of a Digital strategy
