fdu is recruiting a Group Reporting Manager for a global professional services business with plans to IPO. This has necessitated the requirement to strengthen their finance department and as part of that process we have a new requirement for a Group Reporting Manager. This role is new to the business, so the opportunity is there for the successful individual to shape the role, hence it is essential that you are a proactive and ambitious person focused on continual improvement.

Overview - Managing the consolidated financial reporting across the Group, including delivery of consolidated financial statements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Management and production of the Group’s consolidated financial statements and subsidiary accounts.
  • Review and development of the Group’s consolidation processes, ensuring that results are reported accurately and within reporting deadlines.
  • Production of financial information for the monthly and quarterly board reporting pack.
  • Identification of best practice processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure consistency in financial reporting across the Group and to lead on developments in accounting and reporting standards across the Group.
  • Lead on technical finance issues, developing reporting policies and advising on complex accounting transactions.
  • Working alongside the Financial Accounting and Commercial Accounting teams to support internal reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the Group.
  • Managing two direct reports
Skills and Experience
  • Chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong training acquired through working at preferably within a Big 4 / Top 10 Audit firm. 4+ years PQE.
  • Relevant experience in industry, gained in the Group function of a FTSE listed environment.
  • Technically proficient e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP.
  • Preparation of large consolidated financial statements.
  • Experience of working in a professional services environment - legal experience and preparation of LLP accounts preferred but not essential.
  • The ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a high performing team.
  • Excel/spreadsheet working to highest levels.
  • The role will suit someone that qualified in Top 10 audit practice, and then has progressed to manager or senior manager, or equally someone that has moved into industry and has experience in a Group environment.
