Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager – Modular Construction, Salary: cGBP45k, car allowance, uncapped commission, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and other benefits! Field based role with national coverage – flexibility in terms of candidate location.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager to work for an industry leading business who specialise in the hire, sale and maintenance of modular accommodation / portable cabins and associated products. The ideal candidate will have experience of selling into the construction industry client base (though not essential) and have a proven track record in developing new business in a field sales role. Experience in portable cabin hire, plant hire or a construction related environment would be a distinct advantage though not essential.
The role of Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager:
* Identify, develop, negotiate, and close new business opportunities to improve market position and support the financial growth of the business.
* Focus on high value contracts and significant tender opportunities. Attend/lead meetings with clients for Stage 1, mid–tender, award, and pre–start meetings for these projects as/when appropriate
* Develop, implement, and maintain a "Business Development Plan" to include overall strategy for year–on–year performance of both existing and new client base.
* Represent the business at any conferences, trade fairs and networking events deemed appropriate.
* Manage and report on the effective implementation of a marketing strategy to maintain
market relevance and promote products and services to increase sales.
* Continuously manage, develop, and improve the Company website, co–ordinating interactions with other staff for content inputs. Liaise with the Sales Manager for regular refresh of stock listed for sale.
* Re–launch the Company's social media platforms, starting with LinkedIn. Ensure that content is regular, engaging and in keeping with the business' brand and direction.
