Finance Director, £70-85K + bonus and share options
Our client is an ambitious service sector organisation who is seeking a qualified accountant to be their new Finance Director. The Finance Director will lead the UK finance team and will report into the CEO and Operations Director. This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Director with previous experience as either a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or a Finance Director gained in an SME environment.

This role would suit a technically strong financial controller or hands-on finance director looking for a varied and challenging role in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Management and leadership of the core finance function including Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and transactional finance.
- Oversee the production of monthly management accounting and management information.
- Ensure integrity of the ledgers.
- Implement and improve processes and controls across the business so that these are regularly monitored and adapted where necessary.
- Development of financial policies and procedures.
- Managing the statutory accounts process including coordinating financial audits, corporation tax filings and company secretarial.
- Overseeing monthly payroll and expenses process.
- Oversight of cashflow forecast to support effective decision making.
Qualifications and experience:
- Qualified accountant ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience of combining a finance leadership role with willingness to be hands-on.
- Must have experience of tight reporting deadlines.
- Previous experience of implementing an ERP system would be a distinct advantage.
