Finance Manager required for the Business Services & Outsourcing team, for a top 6 Professional Services team
In this role you will assist and support the regional heads in managing the financial performance of the work streams and individual streams on strategic issues and on a day-to-day basis as well as providing relevant support, advice and guidance to the overall team within the business unit on financial matters. In this role you will assist and support the regional heads in managing the financial performance of the work streams and individual streams on strategic issues and on a day-to-day basis as well as providing relevant support, advice and guidance to the overall team within the business unit on financial matters. You will:
- Regularly liaise with the central Finance function, overseeing the month end and year end processes.
- Oversee the annual budget for the stream and individual regions and service lines: liaising with stream finance partner, regional and service line heads and the central Finance team as appropriate and overseeing the input of the data into the Firm's budget model
- Ensure bills, recoveries and cash collections are managed effectively and efficiently; challenging performance in these areas where required and agreeing appropriate action to take when issues arise
- Agreeing and taking ownership of KPIs for the individual regions and service lines within the stream
- Supporting the 4R process to provide critical evaluation and drive consistency
- Monthly financial analysis and reporting to the stream head and finance partner and the Group Financial Controller to enable informed planning and decision making. Including budget, rolling forecast, key performance indicators and analysis of variances
- Trend analysis with timely identification of causes of risks/ problems with prompt suggestion for relevant actions, particularly including revenue, recoverability, staff utilisation, work in progress, debt
- Assist in the production and preparation of business plans and support the region an service line heads in identifying and developing strategy for the group and individual sub-streams; providing support in driving through these strategic decisions
