Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently engaged exclusively on a fantastic interim Financial Accountant role with a well-established manufacturing business based in the Rotherham area. This is an interim role for 12-15 months to cover a period of maternity and provide elevated support during a particularly busy period.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will work closely with the management team and be a crucial part of the accounting function, including line management responsibilities for the purchase and sales ledger teams.

Duties & Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

* Oversee and support the operations of the companies sales and purchase ledgers team
* Overseeing the accurate and timely completion of month-end reconciliations and intergroup balancing processes by the sales and purchase ledger team
* Continuous identification when improvements can be made within the finance department, in other departments and the company's computer systems
* Provide support on preparation of capex proposals, ensuring that the financial justification has been prepared on an appropriate basis and can be substantiated
* Review of the overall capex proposal ensuring consistency, accuracy and clarity to the professional standards required
* Preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS including preparation of supporting documentation for auditors
* Monthly engineering stores reporting
* Preparation of quarterly & annual tax information for tax advisors (UK & US)
* Review of annual tax returns
* iXBRL tagging of financial statements using Caseware
* Preparation and review of annual transfer pricing documentation
* Monitoring and preparation of information for US state taxes returns
* Monitoring compliance with tax rules including expenses
* Chair of tax committee
* Liaising with group tax department including quarterly tax reporting to group
* Involvement in the day to day operation and administration of accounting systems to ensure continuous improvement
* Review of existing systems documentation looking to implement / improve / update as necessary

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following:

* Chartered Accountant (ACA or CIMA) - 5 years post qualification
* Knowledge of the impact of working in a multi-currency environment
* Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
* Knowledge of accounting systems including systems administration
* Knowledge of GDPR regulations
* Knowledge of Agresso accounting system
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* IT Skills - high degree of ability to utilise Excel
