You'll be able to tap into new markets for them – for example fruit machines – they have wire harnesses, why not?
Driving the business forward is crucial for the business and this will be focussed on in this role. You'll be able to quote and win new business but also leverage relationships with current customers that they have and win business in other areas.
You'll have the chance to really make a difference. That's not just me saying that. Having a fresh pair of eyes will help the business, see where they can uplift quotes, make positive changes to the business and how to make the process easier in general.
They already have customers such as JLR, Aston Martin, Bentley and they now want someone who can take them into new sectors, and as it's a UK wide role, the UK is your oyster!
You might have worked in automotive, and now work in a totally different sector. Having that breadth of knowledge and experience is going to work in your favour. Or maybe you haven't worked in automotive at all, that's fine!
You'll already be regularly going into meetings with engineering teams, buyers and know people at a senior level of organisations where you've built relationships and be able to tap into them when working with this client.
What you'll be expected to achieve in the first year? 10% growth! The company have a turnover of GBP67 million within the automotive industry. That 10% growth can be in different markets – off road, marine, rail etc. Growth means bringing in more people to support where needed. I know this because I've worked with this client for a while now and when they need people, they hire them. But, they are the RIGHT people.
