Head of Commercial Sales
Head of Commercial Sales – Celotex – Field–based covering the East and South East region
Celotex are looking to appoint a Head of Commercial Sales to manage the sales growth and profitability within the East and South East region by developing and coaching a small team towards sales excellence with a focus on project pipeline activity. The role will also entail responsibility for implementing the National Accounts strategy at a regional level, whilst account managing the larger distributors and merchants within the region
Within this role we anticipate that your time will be split roughly equally between working from home and attending customer and site visits.
The role will be working for Celotex, part of Saint–Gobain Insulation and the Saint–Gobain group who have been awarded 'Top Global Employer' for the past 6 years! (2). At Celotex we manufacture PIF thermal insulation used in a wide variety of applications.

- Sales Management Professional – Distribution, Contractor and Project Sales
- Educated to A–Level (preferable but not essential) or equivalent business qualification
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems experience
- People Development and Coaching skills
- Construction industry background with commercial / project experience
- Practical and logical knowledge of construction products and project tender processes
What will I be doing in the role?
As part of the Sales Management team, you will lead and develop a team of 4 direct reports to implement the national sales strategy at a regional level. The role will have a heavy commercial focus and you will be expected to partner and manage strong relationships with customers, distributors and contractors.
- To provide strong leadership, direction and coaching for the Regional team; acting as a mentor and coaching them in the field
- To support the Area Sales Managers to ensure contractor relationships are strengthened and extended through the management of project specifications
- Ensure high engagement between specification and field sales resource to ensure that agreed target projects are managed effectively through strong project management
- Maintaining the CRM to ensure the seamless flow of information across teams
- Responsible for the commercial price management of special pricing to contractors and distributors
- Regional delivery of the business development plan for engagement with Main Contractors and Housebuilders
- Management of the Regional Demand Plan through the monitoring and reporting of potential projects and distributor sales assumptions
