Our client have built themselves an impeccable reputation within the media industry and now have a multi–million–pound turnover. As they continue to grow, the company is now looking to add fresh talent and a new lease of life to the business by hiring a highly experienced Commercial Sales Director who will support them with their future growth.
The Commercial Sales Director will take control of the business growth strategy, as well as the P&L for the company, overseeing all key business processes – everything from revenue to CRM. They will also be tasked with growing a large, multi–department team to help achieve commercial goals. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to GBP100,000 with an impressive bonus, along with the opportunity to travel to their other UK offices!

Role and Responsibilities of the Commercial Sales Director:
- Strategic Ownership – work alongside key stakeholders to develop a strategy to grow and drive the business forward
- Team Leadership – lead from the front across all divisions. Build teams whilst managing and developing people, taking responsibility for onboarding, hiring, development, diversity and inclusion, etc.
- Sales Focus – understand and recognise the importance of the sales team by incentivising and developing teams to hit targets and achieve objectives whilst working with other teams and stakeholders within the business
- Oversee Revenue – manage the P&L and revenue for the business, reporting on performance on a regular basis
- Attract New Clients – develop revenue streams by attracting new business and expanding the company's client portfolio
- Oversee Inventory – forecast revenue and sales to ensure a smooth workflow across the business
- Marketing Management – ensure all relevant and profitable channels and resources are being utilised when it comes to marketing, product development and distribution
Key Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in a commercial or sales leadership role (10+ years)
- A proven salesperson ideally with experience in a dynamic B2B environment
- Excellent people skills – confident in growing and developing large teams
- P&L/Revenue Management experience – able to use data to support decision making
- Experience in developing strategies to grow key business processes
- Data driven – able to use insights to inform business decisions and drive the company forward
- A natural leader able to inspire others and lead from the front and work closely with multiple teams
- Superb eye for detail
- Consideration of wider business implications and the overall vision
- A flair for business – interested in industry developments and issues
- Fantastic communication skills – able to negotiate, build relationships, and engage stakeholders of all levels
- Degree level education in a relevant subject
