Our water industry client is seeking an experienced Programme manager to join a flagship programme of works to be based out of Brighton.
The Digitalisation Programme Manager will have overall responsibility for delivery of the Wholesale Digitalisation Programme, a high–profile multi–million pound initiative aimed at digitalising the our clients Water and Wastewater networks as well as establishing and enabling analytics and response capability. The Programme Manager will be integral to delivering a step change in the company's asset resilience capability, positively impacting customers and enabling our client to become one of the more digitalised utility providers across the UK water industry.
Responsibilities
The Programme Manager will have responsibility for all facets of the programme with the aim of delivering its target outcomes to time, quality and budget.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide senior management sponsorship and leadership of the Digitalisation Programme.
- Lead effective and efficient delivery of the programme through a best–practice programme management framework.
- Establish and manage the right level of governance across the programme to ensure that outcomes are delivered on time, to quality and to budget necessitating effective stakeholder and risk / issue management.
- Own the business case and be responsible for overseeing delivery of forecasted benefits.
- Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are recorded, monitored and proactively managed / mitigated to minimise disruption to successful delivery.
- Develop scenario analysis to enable evidence–based decision making about risks and opportunities
Qualifications
We are keen to hear from applicants who are analytical and data focussed in their approach, with demonstrable experience in Programme Management (ideally within an infrastructure or Utilities environment)
Ideally you will have a background in engineering and have a project or programme management qualification (such as PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, APM or similar) as well.
Experience of working with IT / OT partners to deliver enabling technologies would also be advantageous, as would experience in managing large matrix teams.
