The Opportunity:

Summary

• Very exciting opportunity to play a starring role in the delivery of a total business transformation strategy
• Role for an innovative and inspirational leader, committed to the role of leading this business to achieve its strategic goals primarily through delivering a client experience like no other, and, getting the basics right
• EXCO level role that owns responsibility for all strategic, operational and financial matters for the London entity of this retail and institutional brokerage with a Global footprint
• Reporting to the Board, the role is responsible for overseeing the daily operational and trading activities of the London entity as well as acting as the Responsible Officer for the London business, under the FCA's Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR)
• Working closely with the Board, the role will be responsible for achieving and implementing the business's mission and strategic plan to grow the London entity

Deliverables / Specifics

• Take ownership of all strategic, operational and financial matters for the London entity.

• Develop and implement a short, medium and long–term strategic plan to achieve the company's objectives and vision, and, deliver the revenue, profitability, and growth targets of the organisation
• Actively develop the company's presence in key markets and lead sales and new business development activities
• Provide leadership to the senior management team in London
• Present regular updates and reports to the Board outlining the performance of the London entity and reporting on the progress of the business and all matters relevant to the Board.
• Develop policy proposals for the Board's discussion and decision
• Articulate the organisation's purpose and value base; ensure that these are consistently applied
• Ensure the business discharges its constitutional and legal obligations
• Ensure that the London business has the resources (human, material and financial) to operate as effectively as possible
• Promote the business in all of its key markets to potential clients and business networks and seek opportunities to expand and promote the role of the London business

Your Experience:

• You will possess a strong record of academic achievement, ideally within subjects that add further credibility to your career within a corporate and finance focused working environment
• Be able to lead through inspiration as well as action. Be forward looking, commercially minded and aspirational. Thrive under a challenge and be delivery focused
• Have significant experience of working in the London markets and ideally possess a strong existing relationship with the FCA
• Be able to demonstrate significant Senior Management experience ideally within a similar type of business i.e. Foreign Exchange / CFD / Forex / Spread Betting Commodities Trading / Trading Platform
• Have operated at CEO level and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen, well rounded leadership skills, entrepreneurial flair and drive
• Knowledge of corporate and commercial set–up requirements in London and European markets will be highly regarded
